I was at an amazing Aquarium recently and came across this photo explaining some of the changes fish undergo in their coloring as they grow. As you can see by the picture on the left, the fish change quite dramatically as they adapt to their environment, protect themselves, and serve others. It made me think about all of us as teachers. Are we adapting to the changes in education today? How can we best serve others? Maybe we will have to drastically and dramatically change our styles in order to adapt to our students, to stay relevant in the classroom, to best serve our students. It may not always be easy to change, but it will allow us to thrive. (And, by the way, the fish were beautiful too… absolutely gorgeous)
